ShixxNOTE Version 4.25 :

1. When note is hidden it is not shown on next program restart. It is hidden till user click on "Show all notes" main menu item.

3. Check box "Disable menu on note close button" inserted in General Settings Dialog.
4. Check box "Show send error message" inserted in Network Settings Dialog.
5. "Save note as" feature implemented. Supported file types Text Document (*.txt), Rich Text Format (*.rtf ) and Word Document (*.doc).

18. New note menu item and function added "Set Note Expiration". In Note Expiration dialog now you can set time when note will be expired and deleted from screen and program. Also expiration icon is showed in the title. 
19. New note menu item and function added "Set Note Alarm". You can set note alarm at any time and also can set repeat interval (daily, weekly, monthly). When alarm time is reached program play alarm sound and note become visible at the desktop. Also note alarm icon in the title becomes red.
20. Send note option improved with email sending. Now you can set email as recipient of the note in send to dialog. Note info and data are sent in message text. Also note picture is sent in email attachment. Program uses MAPI functions to send mail with default Outlook account. 
21. New library added to program "FreeImage.dll". Library function convert note picture in BMP format to JPG picture format which is smaller and better for sending as email attachment.
22. Send from option added in Send To dialog and in Network Settings dialog. You can select Computer name, email or anonymous sender. Sender name will be visible in received note title. If anonymous sender was selected received title will have same text and style like original sent note without sender name and sent time.
23. "Check for email notes" main menu item added. New program thread is created for reading and checking mail. Program downloads new email messages from Internet if computer is on-line. And after that check old and new messages for ShixxNOTE email notes. When program find ShixxNOTE email note it read note data from email message, create and show received note on desktop. If note is created successfully email message is deleted from your Inbox.
24. New button design in all dialogs. ShadeButton class added to all dialogs in program.
25. New menu item added in note menu : File : "Save note as picture file". Note can be saved now as an picture file (Window bitmap BMP or JPG picture file format).
26. IP Address added in Sent From option in Send To dialog. And also in Network Settings dialog now you can set IP Address as Default Sent From valid.
27. "Check for new email notes on program start" option added in Network Settings dialog. If Yes is selected program at start checks for new email note and tries to download and receive new email messages if computer is connected. If not program checks old messages in your In-box.
28. "Check for new email notes interval period" option added in Network Settings dialog. You can select period for checking for new email notes. Every X minutes program will download and check email for new notes.
29. "Picture file format created for email attachment" option added in General Settings dialog. You can select between Window bitmap BMP or JPEG JPG image file format. Selected picture format will default format for email attachment. When sending note to email program creates picture file of note in chosen format and attach it to email.
30. In Send To Dialog on Network Neighborhood and Recipients list menus are added on mouse right click. "Show IP Address" menu item and function is added in both lists. Now you can retrieve IP address of the computer name selected in list. Also "Add" and "Remove" menu items are added.
31. When sending email note program reads registered system user name and company from registry and put than string into email Subject and message info text. Except if option Sent From is ANONYMOUS. 
32. "Increase Font Size" and "Decrease Font size" menu items added in note menu and in title menu. "Note menu > Format > Increase and Decrease Size" and "Title menu > Format > Increase and Decrease Size".
33. Note menu -> Send To -> Group name. Now different icon is for Group with one recipient and different for Group with many recipients.
34. New theme added "Orange-Gray" in note menu and "Brown-Gray" theme is set as default.
35. "Include picture attachment in sent note email"  option added in Settings Network Dialog.

Bug detected : If you have High Color (16 bit) or True Color (24 bit) color set in Control Panel - Display Properties - Settings Tab and your graphic card support only 16 bit depth color, program creates blank JPEG or BMP picture file. So "Save note as picture file" and note picture which is sent as email attachment in Send Note To email recipient will be blank. This Bug is now fixed and now note picture in JPEG or BMP format is created properly in any color depth.

ShixxNOTE 5.net :

40. Bux fixed - Main menu item "About & Registration" is disabled till About dialog is visible.
41. Bug fixed - Program now shows hidden notes if they have alarm set and if note alarm time is reached. Note becomes visible if was hidden.
42. Sound added when note is received.
43. Splash Screen added at the program start.
44. Screen resolution is checked now before note is shown. If note position is bigger than resolution note is shown in top left corner of the screen.
45. "Show Splash Screen on Startup" item is added in General Settings dialog.

51. "Import note" and "Export note" items are added in note menu. You can export one or many notes into *.shx file. Also later you can import note from *.shx file. If more than one note is exported to *.shx file you get list of exported notes so you can select which note you want to import. When note is imported title and note text is replaced and theme is changed.
52. "Export note(s)" and "Import note(s)" main menu items are added. Now you can export one or all notes from program to *.shx file and also you can import one or many notes in program from *.shx file.
53. In Default Note Settings dialog new option is added. "Default note size" - "Width" and "Height" so now you can set default size for new notes. Size is in pixels and it must be smaller than screen resolution size.
54. In note menu, section Themes new item and function is added "Organize Themes". In Organize themes dialog you can rename saved themes, you can delete it and also you can sort it in which order they will be visible in note menu.
55. "Organize saved themes" button added in Default Note Settings dialog.
56. Program exits when user have limited access to files in Windows XP or when user can only read from files but can't write data in it.
57. Hidden note(s) can be exported now from Export note(s) dialog.
58. When title is left aligned, one blank space is added before text or at the end of text if title is right aligned.

61. Bug fixed on Windows 2000/XP. When creating old notes or creating new note program refresh all visible notes so they will appear and look same as they were saved at last program exit. There was bug that new notes don't have border till note is resized or program is restarted.
62. Licence registration is added in free registered version of program. Licence number is max. number of recipients when sending note to others. Also number of recipients in Group is limited to number of licenses.
63. Bug fixed - Default note size in Settings dialog when program is started for the first time doesn't show error any more.
64. Checking maximum file size of main ini file when new note is created, received or imported.
65. Update windows functions added when program is doing some long task to prevent other windows or programs not to freeze. This function is added when Reading network neighborhood, when Checking for new email notes and when Cleaning and optimizing main ini file.
66. Max ini file size check is inserted. Because limit for ini file size is 60 kB. When max ini file size is reached dialog appear and you must delete some of your old notes till size of file is smaller than max file size.
67. Only new note is now refreshed when New Note option is selected or run.
68. On program Exit function FastCleanMainIni() is started. That function checks main ini file for strangely created notes and deletes it. Also checks old notes position and size and also if something is strange program delete old note.
69. About dialog is now System modal which means it is above all notes, never in background.
70. Short-cuts are updated when ini file is updated, when in Properties.h file PROGRAM_INI_UPDATE value is incremented.
71. "Brown - Gray" theme is now changed to "Gray" theme and it is set as default theme.
72. Bug fixed. When note is received and it have left or right aligned title text blank space is added to title text at the beginning or at the end depends on align.
73. Option in Settings dialog "Change only note colors" is now working properly. Only note colors are changed not default font like it was before.
74. "ShixxNOTE default network communication port" option is added in Settings - Network dialog. Now you can change network communication port (default is 2000). This option is only for advanced users because if port is changed there could be problems with sending or receiving notes.
75. "Play sound when note is received" option is moved from General to Network Settings dialog.
76. "Show all notes" main menu item now can be protected with password. In General Setting dialog you can enter password to lock that option.
77. When Paragraph dialog is opened Indentation is set to current one. Bug fixed. Before it was always 0.
78. About dialog now has static email hyper-link. If you click on my email, default mail program is started.
79. In trial version randomly disabled menu items limitation is removed. There is only 25-days trial period.
80. Checking of program trial period is now improved with better programming technique.
81. Show all notes and hide all notes functions are improved and fixed. (bug occurred on some computers when user call this functions)

NEW FEATURES ADDED AFTER 30.07.2003

83. About dialog text in Trial version is changed. "... you must pay 25$ for 10-users license version (can be installed on 10 computers) ...".
84. Export note question when file already exist is changed. "Click Yes to Replace and click No to append".
85. Register and Home Page buttons in About Dialog didn't work properly (URL was not opened) in Windows 2000/XP.
86. When sending email note in email message body text now is written if program version is Trial or Registered.
87. Selection and focus from Edit Box with Program Home Page URL is removed when it is Registered free Version. Tab layout order Bug corrected.
88. Windows 2000/XP show Bug is fixed. Sometimes when note is restored on program start it is not shown correctly, scroll bar appears even before it was not there. Also when you Roll Up and then Roll Down note this Bug appears (scroll bar).
89. Now program exits faster because cleaning and optimizing of main ini data file is not started on every program exit like before. Now optimization and cleaning of main ini file is started after 100 program start-ups.
90. Ctrl+R Keyboard short-cut is not Regular Font option for selected text any more. It is removed.
91. When Tab key is pressed in note on Windows 2000/XP it selects all note text and this Bug is fixed. Now pressing Tab key do nothing. Only you can press Ctrl+Tab to get default Tab key purpose.

ShixxNOTE 6.net new features :

92. When sending note to someone who doesn't have ShixxNOTE program installed, program tries to send message with Windows messaging system, and recipient receives message with note text. Sender and recipient must have Windows 2000/XP operating systems on theirs computers for this feature, or active and started WinPop program on Windows 95/98/Me.
93. In Send To Dialog when you double click on computer in Network Neighborhood list, computer is added to recipient list.
94. Close and hide note smoothly transparency effect added. Works only on Windows 2000/XP.
95. When program start, notes are not resized so many times before they show up, like before (bug fix). Works only on Windows 2000/XP.
96. If program is running on Windows XP, cool controls for Windows 95/98/Me are removed and program have Windows XP look and feel.
97. Little changes are made on Settings dialog to look better on Windows XP.
98. When you are off line and you want to check for email notes program asks you if you want to check old email messages in your Inbox for email notes.
99. If there are no email notes after you click on "Check for email notes" message appears "No email notes found.".
100. When you send note to recipient(s) expiration and alarm info are transferred also with note. In version 5.net this was not possible.

If user sender write his name in edit combo box, that name and sent time will appear in recipient(s) note title, and "Reply to ..." option in note menu will be disabled for that received note ("Anonymous" sender have also "Reply to ..." option disabled) because program doesn't know what is sender comp. name, IP address or email is.
103. Password must be entered twice when you check option in General Settings dialog "Lock 'Show all notes' main menu item with password". Also when you want disable that option password is asked but only once.
104. New default theme is new Blue theme and it is without border.

106. Option "Ask before delete note" is set to Yes as default in General settings dialog.

108. In Expire and Alarm dialogs date format is set to short date because it was long date format till now and some users experienced problems because long date was to big to fit in date field. So now it is short date format and it will fit for all users and countries.

NEW FEATURES ADDED AFTER 08.07.2004

113. When option Randomly change themes for new notes is set to Yes and Default border is set to Yes program didn't works fine, there was no borders on some notes. Now this BUG is fixed and program works correctly.
114. New trial period for program is set. Now trial version have 30 days trial period.
115. When program is first time started new note have border. Default border option is set to yes.
116. New note default size is bigger and default note font size is larger. And new default theme is Brown.
117. More than 20 note recipients now can be added in a Saved Group, problem solved (bug fixed).
118. New registration and Order link added (RegNow) instead Visage Service.
119. Again registration and Order link are changed to "http://www.shixxnote.com/html/order_now.html".

ShixxNOTE 6.net new last features March 2011 :

121. When text is selected then note menu items "Font" and "Text color" are changed to "Selected Font" and "Selected Text color".
122. In "Send Note To" dialog program is no longer excluding client computer name (your computer) from network neighbourhood list. So now you can send note to yourself simply adding your computer name to recipient list with "Add" button.
123. Bug fixed. Buffer-overflow and silent-flood attack are no more threat when receiving note. Security bug fix.
124. Bug fixed. Tray icon disappearance in some cases is now solved. Program tray icon is now always visible. Important bug fix.
125. Bug fixed. Sometimes received note(s) were lost after program start-up. Now this problem is solved and all received notes will be visible after computer restart. Important bug fix.
126. Bug fixed. Program was crashing after clicking on "Exit ShixxNOTE" in main tray icon menu. Modification was done on source code. EndReadMailThread() function is removed now from DestroyWindow() function because handle for that thread was already released. That was cause of the problem. Now problem is solved.
127. Bug fixed. After pressing key "Alt Gr" on your keyboard while typing some text which contains "@" sign (e-mail address for example) strange characters would appear afterwards. Also sometimes "Find Dialog" showed after pressing "F" key afterwards, it worked like you pressed "Ctrl + F" keys. Now all those problems are solved.
128. Bug fixed. It was unable to type "[" character in your note text. Now all this problems is solved.
129. Bug fixed. "Check for Email notes" didn't work properly. ShixxNOTE email note(s) which is in your Inbox was not displayed on your screen as a note when you click on main note menu item "Check for Email notes". Problem is solved. Line Feed character "\n" (ASCII code 10) and Carriage Return character "\r" (ASCII code 13) are removed from received email note data text. Now email note(s) are displayed properly after clicking on option "Check for Email note" in main tray icon menu. If there is no email note(s) you get information message box.
130. Multi monitor restriction (moving note to another monitor) now can be set to "Yes" or "No". Currently this can be only configured on demand. But soon this feature will be implemented in Settings dialog so user can decide to change this option. Default is "No".
131. Automatic URL detection is enabled. So now as you type note text when auto URL detection is on, rich edit control is constantly checking typed text for a valid URL. Rich Edit text control now recognizes URLs that start with these prefixes: "http:", "https:", "mailto:", "ftp:", "file:", "gopher:", "nntp:", "telnet:", "news:" and "outlook:"). Rich Edit control also recognizes standard path names that start with "\\". When Rich Edit control locates a URL, it changes the URL text color and underlines the text.
132. Four default themes changed. "Pink - Gray" is now replaced with new cool theme "Dark Pink" also "Blue - Gray" to "Dark Blue" ; "Yellow - Gray" to "Dark Green" and "Orange - Gray" to "Dark Orange".

ShixxNOTE 6.net new last features November 2014 :

133. New program protection implemented to work only 30 days if it is trial version.
134. When you delete or hide note and you have Windows XP or higher then note disappears smoothly. Transparency effect is used. But also now transparency effect depends on implemented time factor.
135. DetectWindowsVersion() function is now corrected and now all Windows version are properly detected and depending on Windows version program will use transparency effects or not.
136. On main program "About" dialog now end year is set to current year.

ShixxNOTE 6.net new features May 2018:

137. When sending note via email there is no more BCC to admin@shixxnote.com that is now removed.
138. When sending note via email Subject of the email is now "(1) SHIXXNOTE 6.NET MESSAGE TEXT FROM : " and after that string now is added username and computer name of a sender. This was done because there were some troubles with username and company name (in previous version) after you have received email note.
139. When sending note to client which doesn't have program installed then use MSG command if program is running on Windows 10. Example msg * /server:SERVERNAME "Helo friend !".
140. Create default note when program is started for a first time automatically.

ShixxNOTE 6.net new features added March 2022 :
141. On program start new managed program ResolveIP.exe is scaning network neighborhood and all found computers are written in "ShixxNOTE.net" file. 
142. In "Send note to other" dialog program will populate "Network neigborhood" list from previoulsy created "ShixxNOTE.net" file. So again user can click on one or multiple computers and add them in "Recipient list". 
143. New refreshing images on settings dialog added.
144. Splash dialog is removed on program startup.
